Your search for Pteronotus resulted in 16 species-level matches:

Pteronotus Gray, 1838. Mag. Zool. Bot. 2: 500

Pteronotus davyi Gray, 1838

Chilonycteris Gray, 1839; Dermonotus Gill, 1901; Lobostoma Gundlach, 1840; Phyllodia Gray, 1843.

Includes Chilonycteris and Phyllodia (see Smith, 1972). Three subgenera (Pteronotus, Chilonycteris, and Phyllodia) are recognized, and a fourth that includes personatus and psilotis, species formerly included in Chilonycteris, requires a name; see Pavan and Marroig (2016). Keys to this genus were presented by Herd (1983) and by Rodríguez-Durán and Kunz (1992).

Unnamed subgenus. Although often placed in the subgenus Chilonycteris (e.g., Smith, 1972; Simmons and Conway, 2001), recent molecular studies suggest that it and psilotis comprise an as yet unnamed subgenus (Lewis-Oritt et al., 2001; Van Den Bussche and Weyandt, 2003; Pavan and Marroig, 2016). May be a species complex; see Zárate-Martínez et al. (2018). Does not include psilotis; see Dávalos (2006) and Pavan and Marroig (2016).
